Mayflower Transportation Police Triage Rescued Individuals from Bus Crash (M-SPAN/Stanlabs)

Mersea, Mayflower — At 1:28PM EST today, a bus with reportedly 13 occupants crashed into the river between the Jones Beltway and Prison Island. Witnesses report that Mayflower Transportation Police (MTP) had been engaging with a pursuit of a wrong way driver, when the driver proceeded to collide with the bus head-on, launching it over the guardrail and into the river.

Rescue personnel were immediately on scene, with every passenger and the driver surviving the crash with varying levels of injuries

Vinnyvxx, a officer for the Mayflower Transportation Police and State Senator, told M-SPAN reporters on scene that the there needs to be “more legislation be made against people who desync busses, of which I, [a senator], will be looking into immediately.”
