A Mayflower resident has been awarded a multimillion-dollar financial sum following a default ruling by District Court Judge sadoimpacto. According to the civil complaint, the resident, BLUE_K123, was fatally shot near the Mersea County Hall after another resident, theawesomenessme, discharged four rounds into him on April 26th.

Two days later, on April 28th, BLUE_K123 was again outside Mersea County Hall, where theawesomenessme allegedly shot him a second time. On the same day, BLUE_K123 filed a claim for $2.96 million UCD in damages for two counts of wrongful death and battery following the incidents.

After the defendant failed to appear after a court summons on May 2nd, Judge sadoimpacto entered a default judgment against theawesomenessme on May 9th at 12:53 AM EDT, for $50 million in punitive damages and $10 million in compensation, totaling $60 million UCD.

In the court ruling, Judge sadoimpacto described the defendant’s actions as “unfathomable barbarity,” and referred to the murders as “execution-style” killings. However, the judgment has prompted discussion among players, including whether the defendant will be able to pay the judgment and whether the Mayflower Supreme Court will uphold the decision. Others have noted that players are capped at having no more than $10 million UCD.

The Judge also stated that reconsiderations would be taken into account if the defendant responds.

A New Name

Later that day on May 9th, an identity dispute surfaced in the case after a man identified as theawesonenessme was named as the defendant in the proceeding. The defendant had this to say to M-SPAN:

these claims are false and thats not even my username. I strongly disagree, i have never seen this man named BLUE k123

— theawesonenessme

A minute after responding to M-SPAN, theawesonenessme made the same claim in the Mayflower District Court.

No further proceedings have been announced.
