On the Floor is a series of articles on the Mayflower State Legislature, reporting on docketed and pending legislation and on Senate elections.

The on-going campaigning sees twenty-six candidates for ten seats in the 8th Congress.

Writ of Election

As per the Electoral Commission’s Writ of Election, seats 1-6 and 9-12 are open for the election.

The following incumbent Senators are running for re-election: Sectionism, wemski2, Vinnyvxx, and codycreating.

Candidates

This features many independent candidates and several parties. Major parties running include Conservatives For Mayflower, the Mayflower Communist Party, and the Mayflower Progressive Party.

Currently five bills are awaiting the new incumbent Governor, T4K3Nw’s signature.

  • SB571 S.E.C.U.R.I.T.Y. Bill
    Introduced by Senator Vinnyvxx, this bill modernizes the language of the Security Services Act, and overhauls certain aspects of security licensing such as the designated security commission.
  • SB573 Statutory Bylaws and Entity Governance Bill
    Introduced by Senator Thedamnfeds, this bill introduces default bylaws for corporations and limited liability companies (LLCs) to operate under, though individual companies may override, cherry-pick or ignore them by submitting their own bylaws to the Secretary of State.
  • SB569 Constitutional Litigation and Departmental Counsel Bill
    Introduced by Senator Vinnyvxx, this bill is designed to make the court system more efficient and ensure that laws are always judged fairly and consistently under the Constitution. It also lets lower courts ask the Supreme Court for help with tough constitutional questions and makes sure state departments have better legal representation in court.
  • SB574 Terrorist Intelligence Surveillance Bill
    Introduced by Senator Bravocreed, this bill allows the government to use electronic spying and other tools to gather foreign intelligence and prevent terrorism. It also sets up a special court, the Terrorism Intelligence Surveillance Court, to review and approve these spy requests to ensure they are done legally.
  • SB575 I WANT TO SEE YOUR NAME Bill
    Introduced by Senator Bravocreed, this bill stops people from hiding their names or staying anonymous when they are inside government buildings. Basically, if you are in a government facility, you have to identify who you are.

There are three bills docketed, two pending committee action and one having been tabled in a previous Senate session. Alongside these bills is one resolution.

  • SB572 One Desk Bill
    Introduced by Senator GrayzRevenge, this bill aims to strengthen the separation of powers1 by defining the Office of the Chief of Staff for the Executive Branch as a principal office2.
  • SB576 Silly People Bill
    Introduced by Senator GrayzRevenge, this bill would place employees on administrative leave when they are actively involved in a discharge hearing.
  • SB561 (Tabled) The Revised Law Enforcement Training and Certification Bill
    Introduced by Senator Vinnyvxx, this bill would recognize and formalize the Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI) as the exclusive authority over peace officer certifications. And introduce statutory uniform standards on training, certification, and discipline.
  • SR186 An Amendment to Article IV, Section 11
    Introduced by Senator Thedamnfeds, this resolution proposes to change the State Constitution so that the Senate, rather than the Supreme Court, will put judges on trial if they get impeached. This aims to fix a loophole where judges previously had the power to judge themselves, ensuring they can actually be held accountable if they break the rules.

About the Author

As this is the first issue, I should introduce myself.

I am TaxFraudBruh, a former Senator, Deputy Secretary of State and Deputy Administrator of the Transportation Authority. Currently, I serve as the Deputy State Registrar on the Privy Council.

In November 2025 I joined Clark County, having sought more ro-state after that one New Haven County died. I served multiple public agencies throughout my time, including several law enforcement agencies. And I took part in several commercial ventures.

Previously I owned and operated a news organization, the Mayflower Herald, and served as an executive at Lander City 1 News.
