H-SPAN reporters were present for the first Rally Race hosted by Harrison Grand Touring in conjunction with the local Sheriff’s Office, Transit Authority, and Fire Department. For one of the first events hosted in Harrison, it went relatively smoothly and bolstered game activity up to 45 players.

Some mishaps and blunders occurred, which includes but is not limited to:

  • The server crashing right before the practice run, delaying the event by 30 minutes
  • A driver being disqualified by Jamestown Police Department as his forklift was “not road legal”
  • H-SPAN reporters being ran over 2 times; both intentionally done by event staff and emergency personnel
  • Rogue drivers and citizens driving the wrong way down the track during rallies
  • A contestant crashing into a tree and dying

H-SPAN would like extend our grievances to the family of Mr. MrHighBlue for his unfortunate passing. They are asking everyone to refrain from spreading and disseminating the video of the deadly crash. H-SPAN will be showing the video:

Euno Radio provided live coverage of the rallies. During such, they played music from an up-and-coming artist Kanye West, who dropped his debut single “Through the Wire” this year in 2003. This H-SPAN reporter believes that Kanye West will become a successful and uncontroversial artist.

The ranking drivers and their times are:

  1. Originalpocoloco – 1:10.68
  2. gThernoll 1:11.51
  3. GurkaCreed 1:12.44

Alphaze1, the event host, did a public statement after the event, saying:

“We chose a rally for the first race as it was the easiest to manage. Though we ran into issues like a lack of people to do the timing, and an unfortunate server crash that wasted some time, it went great, and proved motorsport worked in Harrison.
We have much more planned. We expect to host a real wheel to wheel race in around two weeks. For those who did the demo race back to the start line, imagine something similar, but on a better layout (and with less waiting!).”
