Lander, Mayflower — Following Governor T4K3Nw’s declaration of Martial Law, the Mayflower National Guard established a checkpoint on the Salborough Bridge. Within hours of the checkpoint being established, commuters flocked to the Bridge, resulting in a traffic jam. M-SPAN reporters arrived on scene shortly after as the situation began to unfold.

Events Leading Up to Martial Law:

The State of Mayflower has experienced an immense surge in terrorist attacks throughout this month, including:

1. The seizure of the Mayflower Supreme Court by the Mayflower Red Front, dated June 13th.1–

2. The seizure of Fort Riley by the criminal organization known as Hydra, and the Mayflower Red Front, dated June 27th.

According to the criminal organizations, both the Mayflower Red Front and Hydra, the groups jointly held the fort for 1 hour and 43 minutes before being recovered by the National Guard.

3. And of course, the June 28th uprising in New Flanders, initiated by members of the Smertov Syndicate, which Attorney General Ocazius quickly declared as an Emergency Order2 leading to the establishment of Martial Law in the state for 42 hours.

Establishment of Salborough Checkpoint

According to bystanders, the checkpoint was established on Salborough Bridge shortly after martial law began to take effect. When M-SPAN reporters arrived on scene, the checkpoint was crowded with several commuters attempting to cross the bridge.

During the chaos ThousandRbxWellSpent, a Mayflower Department of Transportation employee, jumped off the bridge to his death. The moment was captured on the video below:

The Mayflower Department of Transportation has not issued any statements on the death of ThousandRbxWellSpent as of this writing.

However, we at M-SPAN wish the best for the family and friends of the deceased MDOT employee.

The checkpoint is expected to be lifted when martial law ends, however no official comments have been issued so far.
